5/4/12 UPDATE: Added photos!!! The opening night was a success! There were a ton of people and the art was amazing. I feel blessed to be part of such a creative community! Photos added at the bottom of this page. Scroll down to check it out.
*This was truly an amazing experience for me, mostly on a personal level. There were a lot of challenges that came up (like sticking with my painting routine, finishing things up in time, going with the flow and trusting the process, garnering support, figuring out logistics, feeling a bit unprepared, and navigating strange emotions) but I am SO. Damn. Proud of myself.
Everything turned out amazing. I received a lot of good feedback about my work, but most importantly, the event as a whole was such a boost for myself and fellow artists. Just getting moving and putting art OUT THERE is a huge step. Avenues like this really provide a great outlet for all the creative juices to shine.
THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this happen.
Woooot! I’m super excited for this year’s GAX-Guam Art Exhibit IV.
