Painting turtles is no easy task. Ask anyone who has painted one. Especially for the first time. And especially if you haven’t painted anything in forever! These amazing ladies were such a fun group to paint with, and I admire their willingness to be open to the process. I am proud of every single one of them for creating their own unique and beautiful turtle piece from start to finish. I encouraged them to change up the original image to add their own styles into their piece, rather than try to follow the image in its exactness, demonstrating the infinite ways to craft a painting. I am thankful to have gotten to spend the evening painting with them. They work hard in their everyday jobs, and I’m so happy to see them taking time out to get together and have fun with a creative activity. Cheers to more creating!
