Now that I’ve cleared out the big pieces from my room, I finally got to start on some long-awaited pieces. The first one on the easel is “I Puti’on” (which is Chamorro for “the Star”), a commissioned piece. I really enjoyed this one, a lot of warm and cool contrasts with metallics throughout. The Star reflects out over the night sea, with clouds and rocks bordering the scene. Above is a time lapse video of the painting process from start to finish. Below are some photos of the process.
