Do you ever notice that you are holding your breath, even just a little? Many of us are breathing shallowly to begin with, and at times we don’t even realize that we are holding our breath all-together! I encourage you to take a deep breath in right now…
Breathe in one more time, slowly…..breathe life into your whole body….and then exhale gently and slowly…all the way out.
Don’t you feel better already?
I sometimes find myself caught up in my life journey, all tangled and hasty, on the verge of overwhelm. Then it occurs to me that I haven’t been fully breathing life in. When we move through life with an urgency (often accompanied by fear, worry or guilt), we run off of adrenaline. When we are powered by adrenaline, we are tense and our breathing runs shallow and quick.
When we breathe fully, we function at a more optimal level. Oxygen is so important and necessary for a clear mind. When our mind is clear and we are full of life, we make decisions that are aligned with our higher purpose. We can “see” things. We can move. We can more fully be and feel our truth.
Simply beautiful.
Now go and get yourself a nice big glass of water.
Love you all!
With light,
Thank you for the lovely reminder! Breathe is on my treasure map this year – to relax and get present, to help my asthma, for my daughter’s cystic fibrosis. Breath truly is life and it’s so important for us to do it deliberately now and then!
Aw, this touches my heart! And “Breathe” is the center of my treasure map that is on its 2nd year now. Its such a massive map that not only will it take at least 2 years to “soak in” but it is essential to have BREATHE as the center! lol. Sending SO much love and light to you and your family. May strength and peace be with you.
INDEED!!!
Indeed. 😉
I have three signs in my office one says “BREATH BREATH BREATH” one says “EXHALE” and the other “Laugh” you’d be surprised how many people step into my office to read these every day!!
Sweet! Love your perception and purpose!
