Previous posts detailed my trip to Asheville, North Carolina for a business retreat as a part of the Uplevel Academy Gold program that I am in. I shared about the retreat, and then did a whole post on my explorations of downtown Asheville as well as a post just for my explorations of the River Arts District in Asheville. I took a million pictures, so decided to do several posts instead of one epic-long novel. This post is strictly for my awesome adventure visiting Jonas Gerard’s art studio and galleries in the River Arts District of Asheville. I walked everywhere on my trip, and when I found this gallery, I was awe-struck. This is EXACTLY the kind of gallery/studio that I want for myself. Mental notes and imagery imprinted in my brain so that I have the perfect reference to build on. Jonas Gerard is a well-known artist in Asheville, originally from New York, and has been showcasing his work for over 50 years. Prolific, inspiring, and motivating.
The coolest part is that he has this painted van sitting out front of his gallery, and after chatting it up with Bernie, the gallery manager, I got to ride in the van to the 2nd gallery space! SO freakin awesome, and I am so grateful! Thank you Bernie if you are reading this! I just loved the way things unfolded during my adventures. Truly awesome. Here are the pics to do the rest of the talking:
