42″x42″ acrylic on stretched canvas. “Hope” is a painting that I’ve been wanting to do for a long time, images marinating in my mind before finally coming to canvas. I wanted to create the effect of a really moody sky, a storm passing over the ocean, with hopeful rays of light shining through. Taking something that is dark and ominous, and illuminating it with a balance of peace and light, a way forward.
