The Isla Center for the Arts at the University of Guam is proud to announce the opening of the exhibition Creative Hands: Selected Works by Local Artists from January 24 to February 22, 2013. This biennial exhibition will be the eleventh in a series of juried exhibits since 1992 sponsored by the Isla Center for the Arts. The public is invited to the opening reception which will be held on Thursday, January 24 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at Isla Center, #15 Dean’s Circle on the UOG Campus.
The selected artists include: John Barber, Monica Baza, Michael Lujan Bevacqua, Julius Sotomayor Cena, Richard Colfax, John Dierking, Maria Fitzpatrick, Monaeka Flores, Yasuko Kurakawa, Richard Olmo, Robin Olmo, Rick Pa, Carol Simpson-Warner, Jay Sullivan, Kie Susuico, and Nahono Tsuruga.
Creative Hands: Selected Works by Local Artists opens on January 24, 2013 and will be on exhibit through February 22, 2013. The Isla Center for the Arts is open to the public, free of charge, Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Groups are cordially invited to call the Isla Center at 735-2965 to schedule tours of the exhibit. This exhibit is sponsored by the UOG College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, University of Guam, Guam CAHA, NEA and the Office of the Governor.
