On Wednesday April 29th, the U.S. Small Business Association held it’s annual award ceremony along with its 25th anniversary celebration. Nine award-winners were recognized for their achievements in the small business world here on Guam. According to a Guam Pacific Daily News article,
“Several individuals and families who were honored yesterday in the U.S. Small Business Administration’s annual awards shared common traits.
They love what they do, and they charged ahead even in the face of adversity.
Timothy Murphy and Francis Kenney, the Guam SBA’s Small Business Persons of the Year, have been co-owners of Jamaican Grill for 20 years.”
I am proud to announce that I was also recognized through my business Creative Indeed, as Guam’s 2015 Home-Based Business Champion of the Year! This came as a humbling surprise to me, even though I knew I was nominated. It is an amazing feeling to be acknowledged for your hard work and efforts toward building a thriving business on Guam. This award has given me a renewed sense of commitment and motivation to serve my clients and the community here on Guam to the highest capacity I can offer. Here are some photos from the event (also, you can click on the link above to the Guam PDN article, there are more photos in their gallery), and below are the video clips of my acceptance speech.
Huge THANKS to everyone who has supported me along this journey. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Cheers, and here’s to many more years of service!
