January has been full of fun, all alongside kicking off the year and getting in gear business-wise. Including, though not limited to: Hiking, goats (Wendy, specifically), kids, dogs, surfing, surfboard making, happy hour, networking, events, reading, retreat, art, MoSa’s Joint, and more surfing. I will let the photos do the storytelling in this case!
Every once in awhile, I get a commission request to paint an intuitive piece as a gift for someone on Valentine’s day, open to whatever I feel or envision. Recently, I received a request to paint “my thoughts on love,” completely open to my interpretation and vision, no other instructions or detailed preferences. I truly …
Right after I painted the Divine Mother piece, next up was a rooster to go on wall at the new MoSa’s Joint in Hagatna, my home away from home. Here is a play by play of the painting process, as well as a photo of the guys that came in and bought it (specifically the …
Painting turtles is no easy task. Ask anyone who has painted one. Especially for the first time. And especially if you haven’t painted anything in forever! These amazing ladies were such a fun group to paint with, and I admire their willingness to be open to the process. I am proud of every single one …
Click the link below or picture above to read the full details on how you can help support my IndieGoGo fundraising campaign to FINALLY open an actual art studio space in Hagatña, here on Guam. I recently painted a “Divine Mother” piece for myself, as my own sort of “guide” to keep on my wall, to …
My birthday is 12/12/84 at 12:12pm, and so I’ve always felt connected to the number 12. Another special connection is sharing that birthday (12/12) with my great-grandmother Agueda Johnston, who was a well-known woman here on Guam. While I have never really been much of a religious person, I do have a strong sense of …
So I was up late one night (I think it was new year’s day? or the 2nd?) and decided to just go ahead and paint the giant canvas sitting in my room. Over the course of several hours, the biggest latte stone I’ve ever painted emerged. I have been loving using the crosshatch style of …
Ready or not, here we come! Every day is a new day, and here we are at the start of a new year cycle. It’s important to remember other cycles in our lives though. Rhythms and routines are everywhere, in nature, our bodies, our behaviors. The way I have built my life in the last …
What a year of surprises! Between painting on a wedding dress, travel to Asheville, live art at the Electric Island Festival, receiving the award for Home-Based Business Champion of the year by the SBA, and so much more, it has been eventful to say the least! Looking back, these are some of my most memorable …
What a beautiful day we had at the Holiday Craft Fair yesterday! The turnout of vendors and guests was great, and the weather was perfect! Maybe a little windy for some of the vendors, but we never had a drop of rain, woohoo! We had over 70 vendors, and a crowd of about 1000 throughout …
The final piece of a recent commission collection is finished! A dramatic cat painting, done in a non-abstract style for once. Black, white and green are the palette and an alert kitty gives the staredown of both curiosity and readiness. Decided to sketch it first to try to get the proportions to look okay. This was …
Some of you have asked if I’ll be selling any prints on metal at the Holiday Craft Fair this coming Sunday. Well the answer is YES, they just came in and I will be selling all except for one (the Lions, which is for display only). They are all shiny, smooth, mounted & ready to …
A recent commission project that came up was to do a Nutcracker painting as holiday decor, and a Sunflower painting. There is also a cat piece, but I haven’t started that one yet. That’s next! Here is the process for the Nutcracker & Sunflower pieces:
For those of you looking to acquire a piece of my art but in a print form, either on canvas, metal, or on greeting cards, pillows, shirts, duvet covers, tote bags, phone cases and more, here you go! I’ve compiled a bunch of screenshots from the print section of my site so you can get …
November has been quite a month!!! Here are the adventures in a photo-recap, including Guam scenery at the beach, on a jungle/cave hike, the moon, my dog, the kids, surfing adventures, art adventures, women in business conference, food gatherings with friends, and miscellaneous selfies and fun:

Thank you to everyone who came out to the Luna Festival this weekend, even with all the rain we had! Thank you to everyone who supported this event in ANY way, even with just good vibes from across the world. THANK YOU. We had an amazing day full of creative arts and expression, with a …

Nature is seriously at the top of my list of “things” I love. Just sitting and being, enjoying the view, soaking up the peace and quiet, admiring the beauty in the simple things, like a leaf, or two fluttering butterflies… The moon rising, moss on a tree, a fading sunset by the beach, interesting cloud …
October’s Creative Session at Guma’ Tasa coffee shop/bar was really nice. Always relaxing, and we always simply CREATE. This month’s painting session included progress on a calming turtle piece, and some abstract work, different pieces inspired by a galaxy idea, earthy tones, dragon scales and purple blending, and a yellow flower.
